AGF07 Agri-Food Training Package is a result of development work undertaken in a Certificate Industry (Pathways) project commissioned by the now -defunct Australian National Training Authority to address the lack of industry focus and nationally recognised qualification in a range of course and programs focusing on learners in equity groups. The project addressed the fact that Certificate I qualifications within training Packages were considered to be largely generalist qualifications nestled in higher qualifications with a lack of focus on technical skills and employability skills in general.
AGF07 Agri-Food Training Package, with its Certificate I in Agri-Food (Pathways) qualification and associated units, was therefore developed to meet the identified stakeholder need to:
* created pathways into further study, school continuation and employment for those foe whom traditional pathways were not sufficient or accessible * explicitly address employability skills in units of competency * assist potential employees in making more informed choices about careers. The technical units from the industry core units are designed for use only in a Pathways qualification or skills set. PRM04 Asset Maintenance Training Package - Carpet Cleaning Sector Purchasing Guide is in response to the development of a new sector which includes specialist carpet cleaning qualifications at Certificate II and III and the sharing of the Certificate IV Cleaning Management with Cleaning Operations.
PRM04 Asset Maintenance Training Package - Cleaning Operations Sector Purchasing Guide is in response to the development of 1 new and three replacement qualifications. Certificates I to III focus on the technical aspects of cleaning operations and the Certificate IV covers the management functions including specific competencies for organising and monitoring cleaning activities, providing cleaning resources and providing quoting services in addition to more generic supervisory and management skills
The Fire Protection Equipment sector consists of a Certificate II and a Certificate III qualification that includes competencies covering the work functions of fire equipment service technicians and fire system technicians.
The Fire Safety Systems Inspection is a new sector that consists of a Certificate IV qualification. This new qualification focuses on fire safety personnel who provide independent verifications that fire safety systems are operating in accordance with the relevant system installation and maintenance requirements from documentation provided by relevant parties, in accordance with relevant regulations.
The Pest Management sector includes a Certificate III qualification focussing on the technical aspects of pest management including the units used for licensing purposes and a Certificate IV qualification that includes technical and management competencies for the industry.
Waste Management includes three qualifications at the Certificate II, III and IV. Certificates II and III focus on operational waste specific and vocational driving training, including training for waste management and landfill site operational vocations and customer service vocations. Certificate IV encompasses waste specific middle-management skills and generic supervisory and management skills.
The Asset Security Training Package covers industry areas providing security and risk management services. Qualifications range from Certificate I level to Advanced Diploma. Relevant occupations include: technician, reception and sales, surveillance investigator, risk assessor, security guard, security technician, monitoring centre operator, private investigator.

The Automotive Industry Retail, Service & Repair (RS&R) National Training Package AUR05 covers areas associated with the retail and warehousing operations within the RS&R Automotive sector and the servicing and repair of passenger, commercial, heavy/earthmoving, farming and industrial vehicles. This Training Package has 32 qualifications ranging from AQF level 1 to Diploma and includes descriptors which identify traditional trades such as Vehicle Mechanics, Panel Beaters, Auto Electricians, Vehicle Body Trimmers and Vehicle Spray Painters. New apprenticeship qualifications include Electrical Accessory Fitting, Mechanical Exhaust Fitting & Repair, Tyre Fitting & Repair, Cylinder Head Reconditioning, Vehicle Body Paint/Panel Preparation, Dismantling, Bicycles Mechanic, Marine Services and Sales and Warehousing and Distribution.

The Business Services Training Package covers a wide range of industry areas providing services in the administration, information, management and human resource sectors. The Food Processing Industry (Wine Sector) Training Package covers wine industry specialist skills across wine-grape growing, cellar operations, laboratory, bottling and packaging, and cellar door sales.

Health training package.
The new ICA05 Information and Communications Technology Training Package replaces ICA99 Information Technology Training Package (Version 3). The package contains 229 new and revised units, 22 new qualifications and 86 imported units covering 9 fields: Analyse and Design, Build, Documentation, Implement, Strategy Planning, Support, Team Work, Test, Use.
The Laboratory Operations Training Package has 4 qualification streams. They are Process Manufacturing Testing, Pathology Testing, Biological and Environmental Testing and Food Testing.
There are a total of 4 qualifications ranging from Certificate III to Advanced Diploma levels of the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF). This framework has been developed in consultation with a wide cross section of industry representatives and reflects current and future employment demand. The qualifications are not a series of nested courses but rather a logical skill progression based on real occupational roles and workplace application.
To promote portability, cross industry qualifications have been developed for AQF 4, 5 and 6 outcomes. Because specialisation is an industry requirement at AQF 5, four specialist Diploma qualifications have been developed in addition to the broad cross-industry diploma.
The Lifts Industry National Training Package covers competencies in the area of lift and escalator installation and maintenance.
The Training Package has 12 qualifications ranging from AQF 2 to Diploma and covers Lift Mechanics who assemble, install, adjust, maintain and repair electric and hydraulic lifts and escalators.
The Local Government Training Package covers industry areas providing a range of services in a local government context. The qualifications framework has three parts local government, functional and cross-functional qualifications from other Training Packages. As part of the recent review of the Plastics, Rubber & Cablemaking Training Package (PMB01) it was determined that significant rationalisation could be achieved by developing a range of common units of competency for use across the three process manufacturing Training Packages (PMA, PMB and PMC). This work has focussed on the mandatory and other support units in these three packages. To make the units accessible and not aligned to a particular sector package, it was agreed they should be placed in the generic Manufacturing Training Package (MSA07), which was created initially for the recently developed MSA10107 Certificate I in Manufacturing (Pathways). In addition, it was agreed that in conjunction with the Phase 1 Review of PMB01 common production support certificates should also be developed for use across all of process manufacturing, rather than maintaining separate certificates in PMA, PMB and PMC that were essentially identical. As such, the new common production support qualifications Certificates I, II and III in Process Manufacturing can be accessed by all of the process manufacturing sector and will: The three certificates have been developed with input from a range of process manufacturing stakeholders. The Library and Information Services training package trains people in a diverse work environment that comprise the library and information services industry. People who are employed in library and information services work within all industries and in many different types of libraries. There are five qualifications from Cert II to Advance Diploma. Apprenticeships are available.
The Museum training package has five qualifications from Cert II to Advanced Diploma. The focus of this training package is on the five core functions performed by a museum and they are acquisition, conservation, research, communication and exhibition.
The Music Training Package (CUS01) covers qualifications from Certificate I to Advanced Diploma a total of 14 qualifications. Some examples of the careers that the Music Training Package could offer are in recording, computer software and multimedia, music publishing (notation), live performance, music retail, concert halls and venues, music publishing (licensing), advertising, radio, film and television, music therapy, music video, music teaching and music media. Apprenticeships are available.
The Off-site Construction National Training Package covers the area of building that could be undertaken away from the job site. It has eleven qualifications ranging from AQF level 1 to 3 and includes occupations such as shopfitters, joiners, signwriters and stonemasons. The training package also has an AQF level one certificate for VET in Schools students that allows for credits into the Certificate III trade level.
The Outdoor Recreation training package covers vocational outcomes that are primarily those of an activity instructor and an activity guide. There are qualifications that range from a Cert I to an Adv Diploma. Apprenticeships are available.
The Plastics, Rubber and Cablemaking Training Package covers all major processing streams of the industry as well as tyre manufacturing tyre retreading, belt splicing and surface coating. The revised PMB07 Traing Package includes five qualifications ranging from Certificate II to Advanced Diploma levels.
PMB07 replaces PMB01. It has been developed as a result of extensive consultation and validation that took place between August 2005 and February 2007. The package has been revised to address the needs of all sectors of the polymer processing (plastics, rubber and cablemaking) industries.
All existing units have been revised and over 20 new technical units have been developed to meet the skill needs identified in the review. Skill gaps have been addressed using a mixture of new units and units imported from other Training Packages.
All qualifications have revised packaging rules. Qualifications include Certificate II in Polymer Processing, Certificate III in Polymer Processing, Certificate IV in Polymer Technology, Diploma of Polymer Technology and Advanced Diploma of Polymer Technology. Direct entry is now possible for learners at Diploma level.
The Certificate I in Plastics, Rubber and Cablemaking has not been carried forward and has been replaced by the Certificate I in Process Manufacturing from the MSA07 (Version 2) Manufacturing Training Package.

This document will assist training providers implement the new BCP03 training package. It provides the nominal hours for BCP03 units of competency, the maximum hours for BCP03 qualifications and sample training programs. The Purchasing Guide also contains the mapping details between the new BCP03 units of competence and the existing course 20085VIC Certificate III in Plumbing and Gasfitting.
The Printing and Graphic Arts Training Package has 9 qualification streams. They are Printing & Graphic Arts (General) Graphic Media, Printing, Binding, Converting & Finishing, Sack and Bag, Cartons/Corrugating, Mail House, Ink Manufacture, Management.
There are a total of 34 qualifications contained in the Training Package ranging from Certificate II to Advanced Diploma levels of the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).
The Printing and Graphic Arts Industry competency standards cover all aspects of the industry from paper merchandising and ink manufacture through to the production of all kinds of printed or paper products. In addition, they recognise the development and convergence of new technologies and so competencies relating to the compiling of multimedia products are also included.
Competencies cover all job functions from basic production functions (Certificate II) through trade level work (Certificate III) to technician supervisory and management functions (Certificate IV, Diploma, Advanced Diploma).
This new ICP05 version of the Training Package has been developed following a comprehensive review between 2000-2003.
It has been updated to reflect technological developments and the resulting changes to workplace practice; has developed higher level technical units; incorporated process improvement and management skills; along with minor revisions and clarifications.
The Property Development and Management Training Package Package covers industry areas providing services in Real Estate, stock and Station Agency, Spatial Information Services, Business Broking, Property Operations and Development and Access Consulting.
RTOs must note that none of the qualifications in the Property Development and Management Training Package meet the educational requirements for Real Estate in Victoria.
This Training Package supersedes PRD01 Property Development and Management Training Package. It contains qualifications and units of competency in the Property development, sales and management sector and the Spatial Information services sector.
The Public Safety Training Package covers State and Territory Emergency Services sector operations, including the areas of rescue, operations, leadership and operations management. There is an industry-wide qualification at Advanced Diploma level, and specialist qualifications at Certificate II, III, IV and Diploma level. Relevant occupations include: volunteer in the SES, paid staff member in the SES, emergency manager.
The Public Sector Training Package is a substantial revision and redevelopment of the Public Services Training Package (developed in 1999) in response to changes in employment trends due to structural change, legislative and policy demands (eg ethics, financial management and accountability, privacy) demands for new and improved services (eg ageing population, rural/regional areas). The Telecommunications - Call Centres Training Package covers the rapidly-growing business area of telecommunications service delivery and sales. There are three qualifications, one at each level from Certificate II to Certificate IV. Relevant occupations include: telemarketing representative, call centre manager, team leader in a customer service environment.
The new LMT07 Training package is a completely revised package containing some 47 qualifications for the following streams:

At the high end of the qualification ladder, the generic Diploma and Advanced Diploma of Textiles Clothing & Footwear in the LMT00 package has been replaced by a number of stream specific Diploma and Advanced Diploma qualifications covering Applied Fashion Design and Technology, Textile Design and Development, Fashion & Textiles Merchandising, Textile Technology and Production and Management and Medical Grade Footwear. There are no longer separate qualifications for Early Stage Wool Processing. Units for this sector are now available within the Textiles Production qualifications. Likewise, there are no longer separate qualifications for Hide, Skin and Leather Processing. Units for this sector are now available within the Leather Production qualifications. The new LMT07 TCF Training Package Victoria Purchase Guide replaces both the LMT00 and LMT00 Supplementary Edition Guides. The new LMT07 Training Package is a completely revised package containing some 47 qualifications for the following streams: Textile Production Textile Fabrication Technical Textiles and Non-wovens Textile Design & Development Clothing Production Millinery Footwear Production Footwear Repair Custom Made Footwear Medical Grade Footwear Cotton Ginning Leather Production Applied Fashion Design and Technology Fashion and Textile Merchandising Laundry Operations Dry Cleaning Operations The new package now offers a single Certificate I in Textiles Clothing & Footwear qualifications which can be adapted to suit a number of industry sectors and replaces the 9 Certificate I qualifications in the superseded LMT00 Package. At the high end of the qualification ladder, the generic Diploma and Advanced Diploma of Textiles Clothing & Footwear in the LMT00 package has been replaced by a number of stream specific Diploma and Advanced Diploma qualifications covering Applied Fashion Design and Technology, Textile Design and Development, Fashion & Textiles Merchandising, Textile Technology and Production and Management and Medical Grade Footwear. There are no longer separate qualifications for Early Stage Wool Processing. Units for this sector are now available within the Textiles Production qualifications. Likewise, there are no longer separate qualifications for Hide, Skin and Leather Processing. Units for this sector are now available within the Leather Production qualifications. The new LMT07 TCF Training Package Victorian Purchasing Guide replaces both the LMT00 and LMT00 Supplementary Edition Guides. Finally, it should be noted the new Purchasing Guide does not include the units or qualifications for Cotton Ginning or Medical Grade Footwear. qualifications.

The Visual Arts, Craft and Design Training Package covers diverse entry-level occupations in the visual arts, craft and design industries across a wide range of specialisations and media. These include, amongst others, painting, sculpture, digital art, ceramics and design fundamentals and media such as wood and glass. The Training Package also
offers much needed qualifications in Arts Administration.
The Training Package addresses the specific needs and the significant contribution of Indigenous artists to the visual arts, craft and design culture of Australia through the inclusion of four specialist qualifications in Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Cultural Arts. In addition, for the first time, a national commercial photography qualification for photographers' assistants is available.
